Bottega Veneta is a fashion house founded in 1966 by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro. The duo opened their first atelier in Vicenza, Italy, between Venice and Verona. The company, whose name means “venetian workshop”, began by creating artisanal leather products using their own braiding technique called intrecciato, which is still the brand’s signature today. In the beginning of the 1970s, Bottega Veneta built its reputation around the irreproachable quality of their work and the discretion of their designs.
